With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a research-orientated Doctoral degree, she possesses a solid academic background to underpin her clinical practice. Before joining the Centre for Effective Living, Rinet dedicated a decade to serving a diverse population at a general hospital, where she oversaw mental health services and attended to individuals with a wide range of clinical presentations.
Rinet firmly believes in the importance of lifelong learning and facilitated training and development initiatives to both public and professional audiences. She has also made contributions to the field of Psychology through conference presentations and academic publications.
When it comes to her therapeutic approach, Rinet primarily operates from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) perspective. Her objective is to assist clients in cultivating mental flexibility, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges and discover improved psychological well-being. She is also well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enjoys incorporating insights from relevant research findings to tailor her approach uniquely to each individual client. Rinet is committed to support individuals on their journey towards positive change and personal growth.
