About Johanna

Johanna McCarthy (M Prof Psych, BA Psych (Hons)) is a passionate and dedicated provisional psychologist who values respect, warmth, acceptance, and a non-judgmental approach in her work. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children, and is committed to utilising evidence-based interventions and a client-centered approach.

Continuously seeking to expand and develop her therapeutic approaches through supervision, training, and reviewing research, Johanna is proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness approaches. She highly values collaborative work with clients to explore their concerns and life challenges and support them on their journey of mental wellness.

Supported by our senior clinical psychologists as she completes the final stages of her provisional registration which is anticipated to be completed by mid-2024.
