Telehealth Psychologist – Flexibility and Choice

In the Room or Online: Why You Don’t Have to Choose

Some weeks, you need to be in the room. There’s something about sitting across from your therapist, in a space that’s just for this, with nothing else pulling at your attention. If you can get to us, we’ll be there — the same clinician, the same conversation, face to face.

Other weeks look different. Maybe you don’t have a private space to talk right now — the kids are home for the school holidays, you’ve got a guest staying for a week or two, or you’re simply not sure the walls in your current place are thick enough for the particular thing you want to talk about today. That’s a completely understandable reason to want a different option, not a lesser one.

Maybe it’s simpler than that: you just need to get out of the house, and having somewhere to physically go is part of what helps that day. Or maybe it’s the opposite — you’ve had a long week, the thought of a commute on top of everything else feels like too much, and joining from your car during a lunch break is what makes the session possible at all.

This is exactly why we offer both

Telehealth isn’t a compromise or a backup plan here — it’s a genuine option, sitting alongside in-person appointments, so you can choose whichever fits the week you’re actually having. You’re not locked into one or the other. Some clients come in-person most weeks and jump onto a telehealth session when travel isn’t possible. Others do the reverse. Either way, it’s the same clinician and the same care, just delivered where and how it works for you.

If you’re not sure which option suits a particular week, our reception and intake team are happy to help you figure it out when you book. There’s no wrong answer here — just whatever gets you the support you need, when you need it.
